The numbers don't
lie.
Everything made in our Portland workshop by two craftspeople who learned the trade before CAD existed. Every number here is a decision, not a specification.
Saddle Stitching
Hand-stitched with waxed linen. If one stitch breaks, the rest hold.
Bark Tanning
Traditional vegetable tanning. No chrome. No shortcuts.
Edge Burnishing
Brass edges finished by hand. No paint, no dye — just friction.
Repair Policy
We repair everything we make. Bring it back in 20 years.
Some things are made
once.
Limited runs. No restocks. Each piece is numbered and carries a certificate of material provenance.

The Correspondent
Messenger Bag
Recut from a 1943 U.S. Army dispatch bag pattern. The hardware is original military surplus brass. Every bag is numbered.

The Ledger
Folio Cover
Hand-dyed over three passes with aniline dye. The color deepens at edges and lightens at center — the same effect as a century-old ledger book.

The Fieldman
Dopp Kit
A toiletry roll built for a week in the field. The base is bridle leather — it will not collapse. The interior is oilskin. The zipper is YKK brass.
